Social Assistance and Sponsorship Programme
Protection assistance is being provided from time to time to 127 parentless children in the district — 97 fatherless children and 75 motherless children have been supported. Poor, helpless children are assisted with clothes, food materials and reading/study materials.
Sponsorship assistance is provided with the support of the Jaipuria Institute of Management, Gomti Nagar, and other local social workers. Through the Women Welfare Department's Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana (Chief Minister's Child Welfare Scheme), 265 children have been provided assistance.
Programme to Connect Child Labourers with Education
By operating 3 Child Labour Schools under the National Child Labour Project, 90 child labourers were connected to the mainstream of education. Special training centres were operated in Nagar Panchayat Dariyabad and Nagar Panchayat Fatehpur, Barabanki.
