Empowering Communities through Health Self-Reliance and Traditional Wellness
Mission Arogyakar is a flagship initiative spearheaded by our organisation, dedicated to fostering health self-reliance within rural communities through sustainable and time-tested traditional methodologies. Targeted interventions are currently underway in the Chhandwal Gram Panchayat of Barabanki district, empowering 752 families to secure their nutritional and medicinal independence.
The project systematically implements household-level health gardens by providing seeds for 11 distinct types of medicinal plants and 11 varieties of essential vegetables, ensuring direct access to natural dietary supplements and fundamental therapeutic flora for every participating household.
Key Strategic Interventions
- Community Infrastructure: Established a village-level Community Health Garden showcasing 25 distinct species of medicinal plants alongside a dedicated District Resource Centre (DRC) to centralise knowledge and logistical support.
- Public Health Mobilization: Organised community-wide awareness programs and health meetings facilitated by trained 'Ayumitras' to promote regional health literacy and proactive lifestyle habits.
- Holistic Health Camps: Conducted specialised AYUSH health camps, yoga sessions, and naturopathy workshops to introduce practical, everyday wellness techniques to villagers.
- Traditional Lifestyle Education: Raised awareness of preventive healthcare, including daily routines (Dinacharya), seasonal regimens (Ritucharya), and monthly health disciplines (Masik Charya).
- Digital and Remote Outreach: Sustained public engagement through webinars on daily self-care routines, seasonal adaptations, and the long-term vision of health self-reliance.
